Made in the traditional Méthode Champenoise, the extended aging of the Reserve Blanc de Blancs has created a refined sparkling Chardonnay with a persistent mousse and pinpoint bubbles.  Opening with aromas of crisp green apple and Bartlett pear, the palate remains lively with notes of brioche and a long, lingering finish.

100% Chardonnay made in the traditional Méthode Champenoise, with bright acidity illuminating beautiful flavors of honey crisp apples and fresh citrus notes.  Refreshing, sophisticated, and balanced. 

Fermented and aged entirely in stainless steel, this Chardonnay expresses aromas of green apple, lime zest and jasmine leading to a palate of ripe pear nectar, honeysuckle, and subtle notes of flint. The acidity is bright and the finish is crisp. 

Each harvest, the Greenhill production team likes to try something new, something different, and Chardonnay being a very versatile grape, was the perfect candidate for the 2022 vintage.

The Chardonnay Skin Contact is essentially a white wine produced as if it were a red wine. While white wines are typically made by fermenting juice, red wines get their texture, nuance, and color by fermenting that juice with the grape skins. We applied that technique to a small amount of Chardonnay from the 2022 vintage to create an extremely small batch wine that makes us very proud.

Fermented at low temps, the impact of this process was subtle, showing off the fruit in the front and light tannins around the mid palate and in the finish for a beautifully structured, but clean wine.

Grown in Blocks 1 & 4 of the Greenhill Vineyard site and aged for 8 months in French oak, the 2022 Chardonnay Reserve starts with baked golden apples, dry leaves, and fresh fig. The flavors are satisfying, smooth and clean with notes ripe pear, lemon curd, toasted marshmallow and a touch of vanilla extract.

From both of our vineyard sites, our new vintage of Chenin opens with notes of lemon verbena, persimmon, kaffir lime, pickled ginger, followed by flavors of tangerine, pear, & hints of vanilla crème brûlée on a weighted, but clean palate. 

Opening with distinct aromas of pineapple, guava, and white flowers, this medium bodied Petit Manseng is complimented with bright acidity and notes of tangerine, almond, and pink grapefruit on the palate.

Completely dry and pale straw in color, this refreshing and beautiful expression of Virginia Riesling opens with notes of fresh squeezed lime, honeydew, kumquat, and honeysuckle on the nose, followed by flavors of gardenia, tangerine and beeswax on the palate. 

This lovely crisp white wine opens with aromas of lime zest, lemongrass, and green apple. Flavors of lemon curd, Asian pear, and kumquat on the palate are wrapped in balanced acidity, finishing refreshingly clean. 

Fermented in stainless steel and aged in neutral French oak barrels for an enhanced mouthfeel, the 2022 Viognier opens with notes of honeydew, starfruit, and eucalyptus, followed by ripe pear, white peach, and dried pineapple on the palate.

Instinctually refreshing, the 2022 Intuition opens with crisp aromas of pineapple, fresh-cut Golden Delicious apples, and magnolia blossom.  With balanced acidity, the notes of stewed white peaches, lemon curd, and lilac cascade to a clean finish.

This medium bodied wine opens with cherry, anise, and blackberry on the nose and transitions to a palate filled with notes of fig, rhubarb, almond, and nutmeg with a lingering finish of cracked pepper.

Complex and captivating, the 2021 Merlot opens with aromas of plum, cigar box, tar, cobblestone, and cola, complimented by characteristics of chocolate-covered cherries, cacao, cassis, and charcoal.

Nebbiolo has (finally) returned to Greenhill with the 2021 vintage! As a naturally tannic varietal, this Nebbiolo was made with the intention of keeping the fruit as forward and bright as possible. To meet this goal the wine as aged for only 10 months in new and used French oak, resulting in extremely youthful and engaging expression of the varietal. A welcoming nose of fresh strawberries, cherry pipe tobacco, red licorice and rose petal is followed by maraschino cherry, leather, and strong tannins on the palate. Should age beautifully over the next 5+ years. 

This rustic Petit Verdot displays aromas of violet, lavender, anise, & roasted coffee bean. Tart plum, bramble fruit and Mexican chocolate are highlighted on the palate’s sturdy tannic structure balanced by a touch of acidity on the finish.  

Sourced from Honah Lee Vineyards near Charlottesville, this vintage of Tannat has intoxicating whiffs of dark chocolate cherry, dried medjool date, tamarind, cinnamon and burnt caramel. The structured palate has well developed tannins integrated with dried leather, charcoal, red raspberry, and dried strawberry to create a beautifully balanced wine.

A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and bleeds from each red lot in 2022, this wine is elegant and balanced with mouth watering body, fruit, and acidity. Our excitement for this wine is unparalleled and is the reason we believe our winemaker, Ben, has created the finest rosé in Greenhill Vineyard's history.

Smooth & engaging flavors of cherry pipe tobacco, plum, graphite, cedar, & a touch cacao encompass this medium-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon. Finishes with rustic, playful tannins & pairs extremely well with aged cheddars.
