2019 Reserve Chardonnay
Tasting notes
Medium bodied with aromas of pineapple, lemon zest and fig and a hint of banana. The distinct flavors of butterscotch and baked almond tart finish lengthy and well balanced.
Production notes
Sourced from our Greenhill Vineyard, this Chardonnay was allowed to go through secondary malolactic fermentation softening and building on the wine’s mid-palate and allowing for fruitful finish. Aged for 10 months in 70% new & 30% used French Oak

One of the wettest years on record, the 2018 vintage was a challenge for all wineries in the Mid-Atlantic. Wet conditions into the harvest season resulted in an early pick, but surprisingly Chardonnay was one of the higher quality fruits for the vintage. The fruit for this wine was pick in the first two weeks of September.
